Four Presidents have been shot to death: Abraham Lincoln (1865), James A. Garfield (1881), William McKinley (1901), and John F. Kennedy (1963). All four were shot on a Friday.
Sorry, I looked it up and Garfield was shot July 2 1881 a Saturday.
Technically didn’t Garfield die of infection? They called alexander graham bell in to use his geiger counter to find the bullet in his lower back. They had made several attempts to explore and dig it out.
The geiger counter hit on the metal bed springs and before they could go to plan C garfield died.
Of course legally the shooter was responsible for his death, but if it happened today he would probably still be alive, maybe in a wheel chair.
