Trump has a lot riding of this and it could break him. Hell, the Dem house could impeach him for failure to safeguard our nation. The senate wouldn't convict but it would be there for any 2020 campaign.

First, please understand there was a bit of facetiousness in my post.

On the other hand, given the socialist dem's slate of potential 2020 presidential candidates, a well-designed and drawn out attempted impeachment based on everything they despise about Trump could be its best, if not obvious political move.

The effort would be designed to present questions and doubt in the minds of R primary voters. It would be an anti-Trump circus for months on end, and the barkers would be the MSM and the entertainment world. The RINOs and deep state would quietly nod their heads in agreement while pumping their candidates.
