This does not authorize the use of lethal force to kill someone climbing a fence or rushing traffic lane. It authorizes lethal force to protect boarder agents or I assume members of the military,. If they kill unarmed people or people who are attacking them with threat of life (that is with lethal force) they will be guilty of manslaughter or murder.
This whole caravan thing smells like COMMUNITY ORGANIZING.

In fact I would have no objection if the US decides to invade Mexico and push the Border a few more miles south of it’s location.
SCOTUS need to rule on lower court activist judges passing these types of injunctions that threaten our national security, and pronto. Justice Thomas said as much the other day. It's the height of insanity that these pipsqueak judges can wield this much power. NOT what our Founders envisioned.

This is a brutal reality. Also in reality I do know that many in those caravans are just seeking a better life. I also know that when I look at them the are well feed and mostly young men and many are criminals. The women and young are the few though in the media they are portrayed as the many. This is a lie.
ps Married to a Mexican National and now USA citizen of many years, the legal way long before we married. She was educated in our universities (computer software engineer) she is smart, and grabbed the American dream.

Of course you and I know this, but it will fall on the deaf ears of those here who have these recurring fantasies of calling in A-10 strikes and mowing down this rabble with machine guns and tank fire. It ain’t gonna happen because we are a civilized country with a professional military. There are innumerable other ways to handle an invasion of this type.
running at someone who can move is not lethal use of force or attack on the life of the army. secondly, they are not going to run at them they are going to runaway from them. We need to use non-lethal options till weapons come out,. Thats what most use of force policies say. I have experience developing these in 15 states.
Do you really want trump to come out and say, I told them to shoot them if they run at them? Defend that in criminal and impeachment trials when they say what were your other options since you knew for one month they would do that.

The issue has No Thing to do with Race. It is a simple case of ‘Breaking and Entering’ best case or ‘An act of aggression by invading the US border’ worst case.
People act ad if they woke up in the morning and found uninvited strangers (who broke into their home) doing the laundry, taking out the trash, washing dishes (the jobs Americans dont want to do) that the homeowner has an obligation to then welcome, house, and feed them as well as provide for their expenses at the honeowner’s expense without question or right of protest.
Really, people? Which of you who are in favor of open borders is standing at the border eagerly waiting to take home your personal illegal and be their 100% guarantee in the event there are actions that damage fellow citizens in their person or property to include loss of income/home/life?
Is it sad that some nations disrespect their citizens? YES! If we read OUR history and OUR Declaration of Independence we also see that the King of England disrespected our founders as well. What is the difference? Our forefathers rose up in protest and replaced our form of government at great sacrifice to themselves and their property not to mention their lives!
NO THING prevents the ‘migrants’ from seeking the same radical change in their own country! Will it be hard? YES! Will those attempting change face danger? YES! FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! This is something All Americans should know and understand, yet many don’t. Because of this they feel pity towards these illegals because America has a big heart.
If we truly care about these foreigners, we would encourage them to do their duty and return and change their country (for no one else can). Yet their answer is to simply leave their reasonable duty as citizens in their homeland and become leaches on the backs of all Americans. One can only assume these people lack the intestinal fortitude to pledge their lives, their property, their sacred honor in the fight to make their home country free!
This being the case one must ask the question, “Why then would America want to import an individual that will not fight for the basic rights they were endowed with by their Creator?” The fight is the same for all people that yearn to be free. Therefore one must believe these people are not seeking Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, but are instead seeking the life of Riley with no responsibilities at someone else’s expense, namely the American Taxpayer and Citizenry.
Let us not be weary in well doing on this Thanksgiving Day, but let us also not cast our pearls before swine. Let us be sober, vigilant, and let us not be decieved with naivete.
