A VERY underrated actor, IMHO.
He also takes on the quirkiest roles out there so that could be why.
I assume he’s hardcore left but I’d rather not know so I can continue to see his movies and enjoy them.
Animal Farm was a great prison movie.

That's what makes Dafoe a great actor. He knows better than to piss off half his audience, with idiotic political talk.
He could pull of the good guy (Platoon), bad guy (Wild At Heart), or good-AND-bad guy (Spiderman).

Dafoe has a crazy look to him, almost as wacky as Gary Busey.
