You are certainly right, but we’re dealing with a clash of two very different mind-sets. When the Mexicans I’ve known get mad they tend to yell, cuss each other out, throw things and have fist fights. When Hondurans are seriously provoked they tend to go for their machete and try to lop someone’s head off. I know several men walking around Honduras missing a few fingers, a hand, half an arm or leg because many times they settle even trivial differences with a machete.
I’m not saying this to take sides, for I know decent people from both countries. I could almost guarantee, however, that there are quite a number of men in that caravan bunch who hold human life at a much lower value than most residents of Tijuana. This could get REAL UGLY real fast!
