If you look too early that would be the Sun.

Can you believe we are so dumbed down that somebody had to print instructions on how to see a full moon...AND got it wrong??
To: vladimir998
"If the night sky is clear, it will be just too bright to look at. "-- BS." No, it is true. According to the NASA, a shade 14 welding lens is the only lens adequate and safe for viewing the full moon. I just looked it up.

No, October is the Harvest Moon. It even notes in the article that November is also called the Hunter’s Moon.

Also the Anglo-Saxons called it Blodmonath, the Blood Month, because that was when they slaughtered most of their livestock just leaving a few for breeding.
Happy Thanksgiving, FRiend.

My daughter has anatomically correct baby dolls, so sometimes you walk by the playroom and see a few full beaver moons.

But I read it on InterDarkVebs that Oktobre was the Hunter’s Moon.

On checking a few sources I’ve seen both October and November referred to as Hunter’s Moon. I guess it depended where you were. What I had always heard was end of the harvest was celebrated at Halloween, allowing the men to go hunting in Nov.

It is somewhat in the realm of arcana. LOL. with all of the Gorebull warming/cooling/changing/staying-the-same it’s hard to say what we’ll be calling them a hundred years from now.
