An American man has been killed by an endangered tribe in India's Andaman and Nicobar islands. Fishermen who took the man to North Sentinel island say tribespeople shot him with arrows and left his body on the beach. He has been identified as John Allen Chau, a 27 year old from Alabama. Contact with the endangered Andaman tribes living in isolation from the world is illegal because of the risks to them from outside disease. Estimates say the Sentinelese, who are totally cut off from civilisation, number only between 50 and 150.

So who translates?
The article also says that authorities are unsure of the actual population.
They are either in contact with outside civ or not.
If doctors visit, then they are not isolated and indeed get help from the modern world.
Kind of bizarre to me.
It reads to me that he was a thrill seeker and not a missionary.
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.
He was a hero like Stephen was.
This isn't the jungles of Ecuador where native tribes interact and have at least some continuous contact with the outside world. Nobody comes or goes from this island.
These people have quarantined from the outside world for quite literally centuries. Which means that...
Whenever they encounter people from the outside they die.
Not metaphorically.
Not figuratively.
Literally. Their immune systems lack antibodies and helpful bacteria and all the things that keep the modern world from being killed by pathogens we encounter throughout our lives.
The things we survive don't all go away. We neutralize them, and then some of them we still carry around. In fact, some of them our children carry around too, but we pass many of our immunities on to them.
The Andaman tribesmen associate outsiders with dying, and you will note they moved the body to the sea while staying as far away from it as possible.
And every information source I have read about the Andamans in recent years lays all of this out.
This guy was no Jim Elliott by any stretch of the imagination. You are supposed to first do no harm.
How many people could he have lead to Christ after his very presence caused them to start dropping like grasshoppers in a blizzard?
Trespassers Will Be Arrowed.
India is number 15 on a list of the top 50 countries repressive to Christians.
So dying and being separated from God for all eternity is a better option? Got it.
If they hadn’t killed him, he stood a good chance of killing them by bringing disease, way before he could ever learn their language to preach the Gospel.
rumor has it a couple of the tribesmen found his good book and ran out over the water to the boat to give it back because they thought it was important.
And we who are in the beloved, will witness it. Personally. In stereo.
Im sure that wouldve been a great comfort to those whose children may have died from the diseases to which he would have exposed them.
I don’t believe it. There are dozens and dozens of moslem countries and they’re all bad to Christians.
Some of the “HIndus are violent to Christians” stuff is made up, I’ve read about that on FR from people who knew this first hand. It makes good copy to get donations from Americans. India has had Christians especially since the Portagees when to Goa and tortured Hindus into coverting.
God is sovereign over life and death. If children die without Christ is that a better comfort?
Their decision to make, not yours. You have no more right to push your religion on them at the possible cost of their lives than they have a right to do the same to you and yours.
There are dozens and dozens of Muslim countries on the list.
North Korea has been consistently number one on the list.
That data is from different organizations that have been tracking these conditions for years. India is number 15 for 2017.
I have met a Christian pastor from India that backs it up.

Numbers 1 through 10 are, in order, North Korea, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, and Eritrea.
The idea that tons of moslem countries are better to Christians than India is silly.
Many Christians have a huge prejudice against Hindus.
Bear in mind India has the third largest population of Muslims in the world.
