Leaving your home nation to come to the US for welfare benefits is not seeking asylum.

It is seeking a handout.

The Republican Congress should change the law before the Democrats run the House.

The election was two weeks ago.

We’ve known this invasion was coming for over a month.

The courts have no jurisdiction with immigration and border security. A district court judge definitely has no juris my diction

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

8 U.S.C. §1182(f) of United States Code

Plus he has the Constitutional DUTY to protect the United States from Invasion. You pathetic troll.

the President pretty much has complete discretion by law:

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

A judge is a glorified lawyer. When a lawyer makes a mistake, they either lose customers or are penalized by the Bar. Judges can get away with bad decisions with no penalty.

“8 USC 1182
(6) Illegal entrants and immigration violators
(A) Aliens present without admission or parole
(i) In general
An alien present in the United States without being admitted or paroled, or who arrives in the United States at any time or place other than as designated by the Attorney General, is inadmissible.”

The alien can hand the USCIS person an I-589(?) to apply for asylum, but the alien is inadmissible.

They’re all wearing blinders. All they can see are ways to get back at Trump and they don’t care how their actions are destroying the country.

Same here.

It is like handling a balloon full of water-—

Push in one place & it bulges out in another place.

Trump is many moves ahead of the Liberals.

The Deep State & the Swamp WILL be drained.

The sealed indictments will make Christmas very nice for many of us. I hope.

the President pretty much has complete discretion by law:

Maybe, but the same Congress that granted that discretion chose to limit it in the case of asylum.

I'm not arguing the merits, just saying there's a legitimate issue for the courts to decide.

The courts don’t get to decide. The President enforces the law.

The President enforces the law.

What happens when he doesn't want to enforce a law, like the one I posted?

“NO!! The courts have no jurisdiction with immigration and border security. This sh!t needs to stop NOW!!”

Actually, you're right. The left ignores subpoena's, federal immigration law, and even court orders to produce ballots in when there is vote fraud. The judiciary has way too much power, and Trump should put them and the Dumbocrats in their place (no offense to Dumbo the elephant)..

what restriction did congress impose on asylum?

They said if someone makes it to the US they can apply for asylum, even if it isn't at a port of entry.

They didn't say we have to admit anyone, just give them a hearing.

yes but they gave the President freedom to change most anything..most every law in immigration (walther Mccarren immigration act of 1952 ) gives discretion to the Attorney General or in this case the President..the writers were smart enough to foresee they could not predict every event in the future and gave an out to cure anything overlooked..close loopholes..
