why would you want your babies to not be fed when their hungry, or make them go out to the cold car with their moms or just use the dirty germy restroom
I think its guilt....female breasts are, always have been, and always will be biologically for one reason only....to feed their babies..and that is not what men want to hear or acknowledge because its all about them apparently, not the children...
I'm a women and see nothing all that special about breast feeding except between the baby and mother. It should not be something ‘flaunted’ in public. Woman know their baby's feeding schedule and can plan their activities around that.....
Lets look at human history
Savages walk around with boobs bouncing or flapping in tropical environs
As you go up the civilizational ladder men and women are more modest
Except of course as you point out we are oversexualized
For a very long time women have used a nursing blanket etc to breastfeed in public
A very long time
Were all those women victims of horny male patriarchy
Most women Ive known dont want to be watched whilst breastfeeding and have some modesty in life in general
Im no Puritan
I like little bikinis even thongs at the right discreet beach without our teen boys with us
Cleavage great
Legs...and dainty ankles....thank you lord
But I dont think its appropriate to publicly breastfeed with the boob fully exposed
Nor is the boob I can assure simply a biological function organ
Maybe for some girls
But when girls are younger before babies the boobs dont lie.....
After breastfeeding sensitivity does decrease and Im sorry for that
On a conservative forum ....what an unusual stance youve taken
But feel free this is not an attack
In Louisville the law is in your side
I just dont think most women agree
I could be wrong what do I know...Im only a man..lol
Ive never met a boob under 40 that wasnt erogenous....for the record
And I think that instead of pushing your point about breasts being just to feed babies and normal and natural you think about the reality that you are making other people uncomfortable and be courteous. Just because you think people are wrong doesn’t change how they see the situation.
And I nursed my 4 children over a 14 year span in public without offending anyone or smothering a child.
I breast fed in public with a blanket to cover my breast. Why is that so hard?
Yes, you are trolling.
Give me break, in our modern civilized society there are things called breast pumps and bottles and refrigerators that allow a mother to feed her baby healthy breast milk in public while being respectful of the sensibilities of others.
Yeah, we know, male sexuality disgusts you.
I know this will be hard for you to digest, given some of our past (ahem) disagreements vis a vis womens behaviors, but I fully advocate what I refer to as the mommy exemption. That is, when it comes to a woman breastfeeding her child...MIND YOUR OWN FRIGGIN BUSINESS!
cherry, where did I say I have no problem with naked women being pushed in the media, and I never said women feeding their babies is terrible? I didn't say or imply either of those things.
If you read my posts and are rational about it, you should see that I do not subscribe to either of those things.
This is an emotionally charged subject for people, let's discuss it without putting words into the mouths of others.
The reality is women's breasts mean more to men than a bulge in the chest, and God made them have that effect on men too.
God gave men a sex drive for a purpose. It isn't always rational, but it is there. That said, it is pretty clear that breasts do not exist for one single purpose only, the feeding of children. They also factor into the sexual attractiveness of women to men.
And this isn't simply a reflection of the modern world where you are correct, we are bathed in it. It is an established fact that men have always viewed women's breasts as more than just a container for mother's milk. That is irrefutable and not even open to debate. If you look throughout history, cultures even centuries before the advent of the Roman Empire understood that breasts were attractive to men.
Certainly, there are cultures where women don't have to conceal their breasts, but those cultures are at usually more primitive. And even in those cultures, it is undeniable that the breasts are sexually attractive to the opposite sex.
It is the way God made us, or did after we were forced to leave the Garden of Eden.
Somehow, I think that if women explained that before marriage (along with your accompanying attitude) I think there would be significantly fewer marriages.
