BTW, my 6th-great grandfather was a militia Captain in the Revolutionary War, and his son, Nathan, my 5th great- was in the Continental Army, and fought at Saratoga.

I often find interesting tidbits when I dig around my ancestry. My great-great (give or take a couple greats) grandfather was a bodyguard to Joseph Smith when the Mormons had to keep moving west (because no one wanted them around). Having Mormon ancestry is both a curse and a blessing. A curse because I have thousands of relatives, making finding obscure details of my ancestry very difficult, and a blessing because the Mormons keep detailed records.
