It’s always over. At least according to the latest crop of whiners. We’ve had significantly higher waves of immigrants before as a percentage of the population. Survived all those. Stop being a bitch and live life.
The immigrants of old came here legally, assimilated, and became Americans.
This latest invasion is swimming a river, or climbing a wall...illegally. They refuse to assimilate and add value to the enterprise.

They came here legally because we largely had an open door policy. They didn’t assimilate for at least a generation. Hence why so much of New York is STILL ethnic conclaves. Sorry but in reality the only real difference between this and the late 19th early 20th century wave is that they’re a much smaller percentage of the country.
