Tks...the tree is up hanging. I knew where I wanted it. I took plastic ties and place them on the branches starting from the bottom going up. That way the tree wouldn't want to topple over for being only connected at the bottom.
I took a light weight rope that was three pile and separated it. Then took three long ropes and put a knot with a hook big enough to slip over the knobs on the hook nailed to a rafter.
I made sure the ropes were evenly placed throughout the tree. I also took the top off making it lighter along with the stand. Then raised the lower branches so our Sammy couldn't stand and touch the tree.
Since the bottom of the tree is pointed my husband place a ceramic wine container under putting the tree base there.

Found: “ Amahl and the Night Visitors” On You Tube Several versions.
It was the first Hallmark presentation and the first color production on TV.
Loved it as a child and we spent a day singing/acting it out every year when teaching fifth grade The kids loved it.
