They are not true military dogs since they belonged to a private contractor, not the US armed forces.

So very glad to see K9s brought home for well deserved retirement or semi-retirement jobs instead of being left behind and/or shot. To use up an animal and then not reward them for their service-—whether it’s a dog, a horse, or whatever-—is not moral.

Talked with a women this week that has Usher syndrome, deafness followed by Retinitis Pigmentosa a.k.a. eventual blindness. (and you think your life sucks.)
She now has a service dog.
THIS DOG WAS AMAZING!!!! He wouldn't make eye contact with anyone except the women he had to take care of.
She told me when you take off his collar, he's a lunatic. A puppy on steroids”.
DANG!
