The best Titanic ever made was made a ways after the originals.

The best story about Tombstone and the OK gunfight was made after many, many old, bad ones.

The best Mutiny on the Bounty was made long after the Charles Laughton one, which was so LAZILY made that it had him taking a ship to sea to look for Spencer Christian, which NEVER HAPPENED.

Maybe so... But still shows their creative bankruptcy. Nothing new from those hacks.

I sort of agree, although the original movie in this case is excellent. This has potential though. It could also be a disaster.

I would probably agree that there have been many remakes which are superb but for me there are some movies that I just can’t imagine anyone other than the original cast playing the parts.

I could never imagine Gone With the Wind with anyone other than Clark Gable for instance. Or the Ten Commandments with any other actors but Yul Brynner and Charlton Heston. This is what happens when one gets old and set in their ways...:-)
