A new study shows men who have full beards are more attractive than men who are clean-shaven.
The study was published in the Journal of Evolutionary Biology.
Researched asked more than 8,500 women to rate men on their attractiveness as a long-term romantic partner, Yahoo News reported.
Heres how the facial hair rated:
1. Heavy stubble (10 days)
2. Full beards
3. Light stubble
4. Clean-shaven
Beards may be more attractive to women when considering long‐term than short‐term relationships as they indicate a males ability to successfully compete socially with other males for resources, the study concluded.
Beards, the researchers said, are associated with a mans age and masculine social dominance.

Must be why Islamic Rage Boy gets all the chicks.
A flea died and went to heaven. St. Peter met it at the gate and asked how it would like to spend the rest of eternity.
On Willie Nelsons beard, the flea answered without hesitation.
So be it, said St. Peter, and it was done. A few weeks later he ran into the flea and asked how he was doing.
I made a terrible mistake, said the flea. I get woke up in the middle of the night drenched with beer, I hear foul language all the time, and I keep getting woozy with some white powder that flies around. It’s Hell, St. Peter, I’m miserable!”
Well, then, is there anyplace else you might like to spend the rest of eternity?
Yes, St. Peter, Ive thought about it, and Ive decided I want to spend the rest of eternity in Dolly Parton’s b___.”
It is done, said St. Peter. A few weeks later he checked up on the flea again and asked if the new choice was working out.
Well, its kind of strange, the flea said. You see, there was this big party. There was lots of singing and dancing, I got bounced around a lot, and there was this weird smoke in the air that made me dizzy. There were hands all over me, and I don’t quite remember all that happened, but would you believe it? I’m back in Willie Nelson’s beard!”
No way!! Disagree completely.
All of those men are hideous.
Yes, Yes We are.
I am going for Sea Captain style, but, have to keep it trimmed for work. When I retire, forget it!
Not to me either. Occasionally a nicely trimmed one will catch my eye, but most of them are straggly and unattractive. What’s that poem?
There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, “It is just as I feared!
Two Owls and a Hen, four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard. Edward Lear
The impression that most often springs to my mind from this current fad is: I'm to f'n lazy to shave more than once a week
I shaved my beard off years ago for a few weeks. My wife asked me to grow it back and I did. When she gets mad I “threaten” to shave my beard off again and she always laughs and says I win whatever the argument is.
Everyone just has to kow-tow to us bearded guys.
I grew a goatee during Christmas break one year in high school, but had to shave it off when school recommenced. I was reading a lot of Russian history and literature at the time, so maybe that’s why I did it. Back in college I experimented with various styles of facial hair — mustaches, goatees, chin whiskers, and full beards, and always shaved them off. I started to let it grow again in 1979 and a woman I worked with asked, “So how long is this one going to last?” I said a year. We made a bet. If I made it to a year, she would buy me dinner. If I shaved, I would buy. I made it. She bought me dinner. I have remained bearded since then.
Most of the people I know today have never seen me clean-shaven, including my wife and children. Family members who are still around and have seen me clean-shaven probably don’t remember what I looked like. If I shaved, I probably wouldn’t recognize myself.
Am I more attractive? I don’t know. I managed to have a number of serious relationships with women since I stopped shaving, and they were all okay with it. I think it has given me a bit of gravitas, on top of the gravitas I already possess naturally and, at my age now, it gives me a kind of distinguished look. Whatever. It suits me, and that’s why I have kept it.
Hahaha, no. :-)
What’s even more annoying is when men with those long beards continually stroke and fiddle with them, as though the men are afraid the beards are going to suddenly disappear.
If a man’s wife/girlfriend likes him with a beard of whatever sort, that’s their business.

Society as a whole is more accepting of beards and is apparently moving in the direction of the Civil War era when beards were commonplace.
It is interesting how facial hair varies from time to time.
During our founding the leaders were beardless during the CW tremendous beards. World class. Romans-beardless, Greeks-bearded.
Oh, and yes they do think we don’t notice being Deplorables who understand reality only through the eyes of Donald Trump.
Agree. My husband NEEDS a beard, or at least a mustache.
Yeah, my wife can’t stand my face either.
I love that you listen to her feedback and desire on this. My husband never listened to my preferences and certainly never changed anything about himself that I said I found sexy. After 20 plus years of not caring or making the smallest shift, I left to find someone I could actually sync up with. Sad. Appreciate you respecting her desires. . Makes a difference in a marriage.
lol
8,500 Blind women ?
Grew a beard at 18 and pretty much kept it till about 45. 46 met wife 2.0. I was clean until about 6 years ago when she gave me a beard trimmer for Christmas. Now I am back to being me. She draws the line though, must keep it short.
My husband has a beard, heavy stubble.
