Is all of the opiates seized by the police were poisoned and put back on the street, users would find it more like Russian roulette with more than 1 chamber filled. It would lose appeal because the even greater rate of death. This would save lives in the long run. But we won’t do it.

Even supplemented with an additive that makes the user violently ill with dayglo-green vomit might do the trick.
Plus it would help parents with opiod-addicted kids who are doing all sorts of crazy drugs without their knowledge.
I read where kids attend parties and there is a “designated Narcan person” in case another user overdoses. How insane is that?

It’s pretty much that way now with not knowing whether you’re getting heavily cut heroin or pure fentanyl. Take enough to get high from the first and you might be dead from the second before you take the needle out.

With all the heroin that has been “stepped on” with fentanyl, carfentanil and ketamine it’s pretty much like russian roulette now.

I don’t know if that would really stop them, except those that it actually killed.
