“Pathetic Loser Party” behavior, as you said, is correct.
It’s been epidemic and shows itself in Florida, particularly with Governor Scott, who himself could have enlisted oversight (at minimum) with consequences and charges (at most).
I sit here amazed that there will be debate in Congress over who to elect as the next Speaker of the House, Jim Jordan, or goofy Kevin McCarthy. Why is that even a question?
It’s the Loser Party behavior. McCarthy was groomed by all the wrong people (Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan). Together they were the Three Young Guns. blech. Subsequently, they went out and shot the Party in the foot and between the legs.
We’ve been wimps ever since. McCarthy has seldom made a public statement before stepping on his tongue, because he is not bright.
Then there’s Jim Jordan, who needs no help expressing who he is and what he stands for. He handles that well enough for himself.

Leadership positions in the House and Senate are based upon who is chosen by lobbyists to direct their money to the back-benchers.
A Paul Ryan, for example, can count on a large number of votes, both for his Speakership and Bills backed by his money sources, because he can direct those big donors where to place their campaign contributions.
Jim Jordan will get some votes from principled Congressmen, but not nearly enough to unseat the pimps like Ryan who connect lobbyist Johns to the whores who are willing to sell their votes.
