Have always taken Q’s use of “ PAIN” for granted, but was wondering why it was written P-A-I-N. Could be related to this:

In the military (and in Information Security), the acronym PAIN stands for: Privacy, Authentication, Integrity, Non-Repudiation

Privacy (or Confidentiality)

In information security, confidentiality “is the property, that information is not made available or disclosed to unauthorized individuals, entities, or processes.” While similar to “privacy,” the two words aren’t interchangeable. Rather, confidentiality is a component of privacy that implements to protect our data from unauthorized viewers. Examples of confidentiality of electronic data being compromised include laptop theft, password theft, or sensitive emails being sent to the incorrect individuals.

Authentication

The act of confirming the truth of an attribute of a single piece of data claimed true by an entity. In contrast with identification, which refers to the act of stating or otherwise indicating a claim purportedly attesting to a person or thing’s identity, authentication is the process of actually confirming that identity.

Integrity

In information security, data integrity means maintaining and assuring the accuracy and completeness of data over its entire life-cycle. This means that data cannot be modified in an unauthorized or undetected manner. This is not the same thing as referential integrity in databases, although it can be viewed as a special case of consistency as understood in the classic ACID model of transaction processing. Information security systems typically provide message integrity along side to confidentiality.

Non-Repudiation

In law, non-repudiation implies one’s intention to fulfill their obligations to a contract. It also implies that one party of a transaction cannot deny having received a transaction, nor can the other party deny having sent a transaction.

that’s a great guess!

PAIN

explains the steps to take before the BOOM.

I like this one in regard to the voter fraud - “We have it all”???

Non-Repudiation -
“In law, non-repudiation implies one’s intention to fulfill their obligations to a contract. It also implies that one party of a transaction cannot deny having received a transaction, nor can the other party deny having sent a transaction.

Is there any way to fit your PAIN interp into the above?

Integrity
Non-repudiation
