Content wise, OAN is more than “pretty good” If in fact they have fault, it lies in lacking showmanship. Unlike the old boys networks, OAN has no bells, whistles or shiny objects. They rely on old REPORTING the news. And yeah, one or two presenters are not my cuppa but that’s OK.
Criticisms of OAN may well be more indication of how our perception of any model of network news has been conditioned by the sellers - the actual networks. I.E., we’ve been programmed to accept no less than bells, whistles and shiny objects.
My BIG disappointment with OAN is the lack of close-captioning - I’m hard of hearing and many newsies appear to have flunked diction class.
