My wife, who is registered independent and has a libertarian streak, who has even in the past voted for the occasional ‘rat when she really didn’t like any other choices. (ie. a vote against xyz)... Well, this year she voted a straight Republican ballot - even she is so fed up with the ‘rat BS she wouldn’t put one in as dog catcher. We haven’t answered a political poll - online or phone - in a decade or more. I’ll bet there are a lot of people out there like my wife - who are silently flipping off the ‘rats and all they stand for now.
Kaine ain’t going anywhere. Virginia GOP is a complete dumpster fire to the point where the national party ought to consider dissolving what’s there and starting again from scratch.
