Leftists re-defined it. A fascist is anyone who supports immigration laws.

"Reagan levied tariffs, too." And Adam Smith was not entirely opposed to them as well, recognizing that under certain circumstances and for set periods, tariffs may be necessary or at least useful in correcting gross imbalances.

It has nothing to do with actual facism.
