Conspiracy theory stuff and I am NOT following this person. This person evidently followed me and now I have to go "mute" him/her.
I haven't been on gab in months and I now have 72 notifications, most all of which are "so and so followed you". That means I see whatever they post on my feed. If I don't want to see it, I have to "mute" all 72 of them. It seems very backwards to me. Sometimes I'd get on gab and have some real nasty stuff on my feed because some unknown jackass decided to follow me. New people just click "follow" on any name they see to build up followers. It's a major pita and makes the system high maintenance for the user.
Why would someone want to be on a social network where every time you sign in, you have to spend 5-10 minutes "muting" people? The above zuckerberg/rothschild conspiracy stuff is mild compared to some of the crap. (Stupid F*&^%ing N!&&ers) is something I've run across quite a bit but spelled out fully. Imagine being at work and having that pop up on your screen. Same with the "Jews are running the work, Goyim wants to enslave us all" type of thing. Oh yeah, and the world is flat btw.
So now I either spend half an hour "muting" up to 72 people/kids or just sign off and forget about gab
