“I have to place trust in my God. Thy will be done.”
That is what I have been remembering for a while now, especially last night after a long day of working the election. I didn’t want to hear coverage. It doesn’t matter. I went to bed and woke up with Trump elected. Yay! I went to bed last night and woke up with a Dem house.
BUT, as I told my daughter last night, we have gotten some much more conservative, pro-life Senators and good governors (Walker excepted). That is huge to me and the process of confirming judges can go forward with more reliable votes.
I can’t help but think we dodged a bullet not getting McCarthy into the Speakership. Even if he “supported” Trump he is not a good spokesperson. Mealy mouthed in my opinion and he wouldn’t have helped the public image. Sadly, Ryan had a better image but was useless promoting conservative positions and more of an empty pretty suit. Glad he is gone.
The Dems have a couple of years to show themselves. Repubs have to take advantage of their performance though. Social media must be broken up, not regulated.
All in all I am surprisingly satisfied even if I cannot stand to hear NP and James Brown’s Wig (great moniker). I wonder which predictors came out looking good? Some of the most confident ones I read are looking a little bit like Karl Rove today. For one of them this is the second or third time their extreme positive confidence has not turned out as predicted.
ThankQ OIYDC but...this has NOTHING to do with God and everything to d with mankind’s corrupted heart.
Maranatha! Hosanna!
