It would be pointless for DEMs to impeach, because the Senate will not vote 2/3 for impeachment. In addition, it would give the opportunity for POTUS to introduce exculpatory evidence and also show their dirty tricks.
Impeachment or any other bad behavior by house dems will be a gift to Trump. And it will happen. They can’t help themselves. Declas will be the key move. Note also that DOJ has reached an agreement to fork over subpoenaed documents. Read Q. Read POTUS’s tweets.
I think they move for impeachment (at least hold hearings) for three reasons:
1. Their whackjob base demands it. (hatred)
2. The Fake News media demands it. (hatred and story/ratings)
3. The Donkeys ALWAYS overreach. (stupid)
I agree with all you say greeneyes. And yet I am not certain the rats like Maxine Waters are smart enough to see the damage they may do. The behaviors we've seen from their leadership inciting people to confrontation and violence doesn't lead me to think they see the damage it does to their brand. Being so short-sighted as saying to kick us when we're down, if we bring a knife they bring a gun and whatever it was Hillary said about no civility till they're in control are short sighted to me.
The smart move for them is to act as you say. Based on the past few years I'm just not convinced they are that smart. They seem to revel in crazy.
So instead they will merely shout about ‘peachmint a lot and not quite get around to doing it. Their goal will be to tie President Trump in knots. That’s ok. That’s what the oppo party is supposed to do. That’s what we kept praying the Republican house WOULD do. If only they weren’t so dag blame UGLY about everything. The House is fickle, it changes every two years. I think the reason Trump isn’t too upset is because in some or many of the cases where the Republicans lost it was RINOs that we hadn’t been able to primary. Sometimes it’s easier to go against your enemy than to go against someone of your own party, as we found to our dismay with W Bush.
Funny how the bilateral symmetry of this war still holds.
