I might want to see that movie. It’ll be the perfect distraction from everything else. I don’t mind that they are presenting the PG version of Freddie Mercury. I’d prefer dwelling more on the music and showmanship of Queen, vs debaucheries of their private lives. That can be it’s own separate movie for a different audience.

Listen to the intro on the song Liar.
THAT intro made me a fan of this group before I knew anything else about them. Hard Rock, the percussion, the lead guitars, well done.
The Black Queen. Sheer Heart Attack. sealed the deal.
A plus was that they (the musicians) seemed to be having fun too!

The film press is panning the movie because it didn't make Freddy's sexuality the focus of the film. They wanted the movie to be filmed in gay bars, bedrooms and bathhouses. While the film makes it clear that Mercury is gay, the band and their music is the focus, and movie going audiences are giving it great reviews. I'll wait, but will definitely see it.

Tie Your Mother Down. Freddie was an onstage performer the likes of which few have existed.

A terrible loss to the world.
