These “research findings” are so stupid. The last time one of these things came out (can’t remember when that was) the finding was that a glass of wine every day added time to your life.
I know its early but a glass of Port sounds pretty good with cereal today...

As usual, some people confuse correlation with causation.
In a few months, we will be reading about a “study” that tells us to drink red wine with dinner and we’ll live 10 years longer. Or that coffee is good for us, and that we should drink 5 cups a day. Or that coffee kills us, and that we should not drink any.

The reason there is ouzo is because they can’t make wine or beer

could be the sulfites ... pretty much all bottled wine has sulfites added as a preservative ...

Can’t those a-holes get things right, for once, without putting out unproved negative announcements, based on a few years’ study?
That said, I quit all alcohol on Jan 9, 2010. I miss the well-aged Cabernet, Lafite and Shiraz VINOs that I used to collect for investments and drinking enjoyment.
Who cares? Life sucks and it would suck worse without wine. If I get to croak before I wet myself all the time, that’s all the better.
