LSU showed Bama is fallible: - Bama did not score on the opening drive. - Tua was intercepted - Tua played in the 4th Quarter

Kidding aside, it looked like the refs were told to back off. Several blatant fouls on both sides were not called. For example, I do not recall an offensive holding call the entire game (I could easily be wrong).

LSU’s defense made a mark, but without offense LSU was doomed.

Why will the game be played in Atlanta? It should be at a neutral site.

The brand new Atlanta Falcons stadium. They will divide up the seats to both sides and most will be up for grabs with corporate sponsors getting a fair share of them

No shortage of Alabama fans in Georgia. I worked in Columbus, on the Alabama/Georgia border, and there plenty of AL to match the GA fans. Auburn and FL State were also represented.

The most flagrant non call IMHO was on the opening drive when Bama was called for a false start and the refs kind of whistled the play dead, but allowed Tua to be tackled, injured, and out for a critical 3rd down play.

From another article:
Most teams walk out of the locker room, see the crimson and white uniforms of the Crimson Tide and lose before the coin flip. Georgia won't. The Bulldogs didn't back down when the game's ultimate prize was on the line,

Kind of pisses me off, winners want to beat the best. I have no doubt Clemson is itching to meet Bama in the CFP final (again). And I haven't seen any “We Want Bama” signs at ND.

Hotel rooms .... lots of them.

Strip joints .... lots of them.

Bars/nightclubs .... lots of them.

Fans .... Tuscaloosa is a few hour drive. Athens is about an hour. Fans for each will fork over thousands, to scalpers and ticket brokers, to see that game. There are thousands and thousands of Alabama folks and alumni that reside in Georgia, especially in the metro area.

Right on every point - I was in Atlanta for a convention that wrapped up on the Saturday of the SEC Championship in 2006, the year that Arkansas and Florida played. Our meetings were in the convention center next to the Georgia Dome which is where the game was before they built the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Fans of both teams just took over the town, even though they were from farther away than this year’s teams are.

MARTA was packed with fans headed there. The convention had to bring in buses to get us back to the convention hotels because of the crush of people in that area. I made it back to the hotel and watched the game on TV. Afterwards, the atrium of the Omni Hotel where I stayed was ringing for hours with the chants of both teams into the wee hours. Florida won but you couldn’t tell it by the volume of Razorback fans doing “Wooooooo - Pig - Sooooieee - Razorbacks!”

The title should read “Alabama will pimpslap Georgia in the SEC title Game”.

Watching Alabama dismantle LSU was like watching the Terminator movie.

“It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop... ever, until you are dead! “
