House Speaker Paul Ryan on Tuesday broke with President Donald Trump on whether an executive order could deny a constitutional guarantee of citizenship to babies born in the U.S. to noncitizen parents.

The is no such constitutional guarantee. U.S. citizenship is only a birthright of those born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction. Should the child be born to non-citizens, it is subject to the jurisdiction of another country, not the United States. Therefore, the child is not a U.S. citizen by birth.

President Trump is preparing to protect and defend the Constitution, which he is sworn to do, by enforcing that basic provision of the 14th amendment. Speaker Ryan needs to read the Constitution.

“Speaker Ryan needs to read the Constitution.”

Squeaker Ryan needs to FOAD. Better yet, he needs to be brought to justice for what he has done to the country.

I disagree. But it is a minor disagreement within this discussion.

A legal landed immigrant “is subject to the jurisdiction”...

U.S. citizenship is only a birthright of those born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction.

If an illegal alien commits a murder in the U.S., he can be prosecuted. If a foreign diplomat commits a murder in the U.S., he cannot be prosecuted because he has diplomatic immunity. Illegal aliens are therefore subject to our jurisdiction.
