I used to work in one, yes. We made decals of all sizes and shapes for trucks, cars, trains, planes, trailers and boats. Some were opaque, some were see-through. We also produced screen printed t-shirts because the same technology and some of the same methods could be used for both. That’s what got the company in trouble as it was discovered it was printing illegal counterfeit concert t-shirts!
Today, a decent print shop - or even a FedEx (Kinkos) or Staples - can produce some pretty amazing things.
