WICHITA, Kan. (AP) A Kansas man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the horrific abuse and slaying of a 3-year-old boy whose body was found encased in concrete in the laundry room of his home four months after his death.
Stephen Bodine, 41, of Wichita, was convicted Wednesday in the May 2017 death of Evan Brewer. Bodine was also found guilty of child abuse, aggravated child endangerment and two counts of kidnapping. He will be sentenced December 17.

Let the sentence fit the crime.
There has to be a special place in hell for people who hurt children.
Slit his throat and be quick with it....
Bury Bodine alive in wet concrete.
Vengeance is God’s, but we have to deliver him there first
His mother’s live-in sex partner.
The other big crime here that will never be punished and hardly mentioned is that the boy’s biological father wasn’t given custody.
I had to stop watching. No words.
Crap like this makes me want to cry for Humanity.
I can’t imagine being a juror in a trial like that one. I would’ve been bawling the whole time.
It proves you’re human.
I’m not sure I’ve ever read anything more sickening than this.
I hope he gets the Super Max treatment. Namely, 23 hours per day, 365 days a year for 82 years. A piece of bread and water slid under the door once a day.
Given my choice, I would never want him to experience a laugh again or talk to another human being.
Humanity seems in short supply to me and deserved by fewer all the time.
Nah to quick, small hole slow bleed out with a mirror for him to see it happen
If there’s no doubt whatsoever that he did this, then dispatch him in the same manner. No sense spending any more money on this depraved creature, no appeals, no lengthy prison sentence, no nothing. Just throw him in a hole and dump a truckload of concrete on him. And leave it there as a stark reminder and cautionary tale. Beneath your feet lie the remains of an inhuman creature who kidnapped and killed a three year old boy by encasing him in concrete. His sentence was the same. May God have mercy upon his soul, but his body will remain here in perpetuity.
May God bless that jury for enduring the testimony and evidence. Parole at 85? There’s plenty of abused inmates who likely won’t let him make that date.
The biological father reported to the authorities his son was in danger, but no one did anything to help. What a tragic story.
devolution
and why I support capital punishment
folking bassturd.
