my family had a dog in the way back years who was featured in my grandfather’s advertising for his company. Nicky

Nicky used to see my father off to school, then trot to the streetcar line, wait for the next car, jump in and jump out at my grandfather’s place of business.

He used to get back on the streetcar in the afternoon, get off at the correct stop, trot home and meet my father after school each day.

I miss that when I was young, there was often a neighborhood dog on the street.

I read that the dogs in Moscow learn the bus schedules and are able to get where they want to go just like people.

The conductor must have been tolerant of slobbery streetcar tokens.
