Isn’t that Jack Buck’s version? I don’t know - he kind of turns me off. Too goody-goody.
OK. Well, for me she made herself, not Kimbrel, look really bad. Guess I’ve fallen out of love...
Yes! Couldnt ask for a better end to the game, than a Machado strikeout! I can imagine what was going in in his head. Bet he didnt dare act up.
I know... Love it! And the video clip of the last out of the game -- with punk Machado collapsing on the ground -- is of course being played over and over again everywhere today, LOL!
I’m going to have to watch for a replay of the game, so I can see it. I missed it last night!!!! How could I miss THAT?? Best part of the game -— aside from the win!!!
Nice moment. It's astounding how many Red Sox fans were at last night's game. However, Dodger Stadium has about a 50,000 capacity, plus there's a *huge* contingent of Red Sox fans in Southern California.
Sonny McLean's is one of the several Red Sox bars we've visited out there in past years. Sonny McLean's organizes bus trips to (usually) The Big A (Angel's Stadium) in Anaheim to cheer on the Red Sox when they are in town.
And of course I'm sure many Red Sox fans traveled to LA from the east coast as well for the games.
Yeah baby! For those who aren't familiar with The Red Sox two victory songs played after every win at Fenway:
Red Sox victory song:
Red Sox victory song #2:
Tessie by the Dropkick Murphys
Some info about the history behind the "Tessie" song:
Weve only been to the Cask n Flagon.
The Cask 'n Flagon is an institution in the Fenway neighborhood, but there are many other great bars/restaurants there, too.
Our favorite is the (very small) Bleacher Bar, located under Sections 34 and 35 of Fenway Park (the "bleachers"):
If you ever plan to visit the Bleacher Bar, get there *several hours* before the Fenway Park gates open.
More great bars in the Fenway Park neighborhood:
Tony C's (Named for Tony Conigliaro)
If you are ever up in the northern part of Boston, near TD Garden, do not miss The Fours.
Tip: Get there several hours before TD Garden's doors open. For example, for a 7:00 pm Bruins game... try to get there around 4:00 - 4:30.
Agree!! It was delicious seeing this punk go down like that (and go 0 for 4in the must-win game).
Yes, thanks for that reminder that The Punk went 0 for 4 last night! ;-)
