How an abduction by the mysterious Freemasons led to a third political party — the nation’s first

The bizarre history of the Anti-Masonic Party

William Morgan believed he had a big story to tell. What happened to him ended up being even bigger.

An itinerant stone mason and failed brewer cursed by what one critical observer called “a wonderful faculty for getting into debt and none for getting out,” Morgan, 52, turned his ambition to writing in 1826. He thought he had a seemingly surefire way to cash in on the conspiratorial zeitgeist that flourished in the early years of the 19th century and remains a hallmark of American politics.

Morgan was poised to expose what he said were the dark secrets of the Freemasons, a fraternal order that over the years counted 21 signatories of the Declaration of Independence and George Washington as members.

Almost 200 years before conspiracy theorists raised alarms about the “deep state” and claimed that mass school shootings were hoaxes, some Americans regarded the Freemasons as a sinister cabal that threatened the future of America.

Almost 200 years before conspiracy theorists raised alarms about the “deep state”

Evidence for the Deep State: FBI leadership is getting fired left and right, their e-mails and texts talk about undermining and setting up the President, leaks are everywhere, Project Veritas had video of government employees admitting that they run resistance ops out of their offices, and the NY Times publishes an editorial from an anonymous official admitting to working against the President.

Washington Post take: It's a conspiracy theory.

The Freemasons are a sinister cabal? What nonsense! They are just another exclusive social club. (My masters in the Illuminati ordered me to post this.)

No “conspiracy theory” discussion needed. There are many books written about Freemasonry by masons, ex-masons, Christians etc. As a committed Christian there is no way i can join any organization which is a branch of the Mystery schools, which promotes universalism, and which is without a doubt opposed to Biblical Christianity.

Kinda reminds me of Jack London’s book assassination Bureau.

I was surprised at the number of people who call themselves Christians who identify with Free Masonry.

And not so surprised at the vehement response to exposure of their group.

It’s not just a nice fraternal men’s club.

People generally just see it as another mes club like Rotary the Elks etc. But it’s not even close.

Reason people join is they ‘bait’ and switch like all cultish type organizations and groups. The dress it in Christian garbled nets and often appeal to business people as a place to connect with others like that.

I know people who got hooked and finally did get out......to this day they readily admit they have ‘scars’ from it all.....you can not get out unscathed.

I have read some of the oaths they take at lower levels of Free Masonry and it is satanic.

Horrible things they call down on themselves and their descendants for breaking the oaths.

Yes.....but they're false blood oaths, that even they say the penalties of breaking are 'not' binding....which of course flies in the face of what God states in his word against false swearing and frivolous use of His name. However they are told a Masonic oath is binding 'only' if they allow it to be. That is their choice. Many members of the Order will tell you how awful it would be to betray the oaths they have taken.....they choose to 'believe' the oaths and their penalities.

A guy I knew, was a 32nd degree mason, went to one of their big arena affairs for the big wigs to see what it was like. When he saw how they paraded the daughters and what was said about them he knew then and there he would never expose his three daughters to that....and stopped going altogether after that. Took him a very long time to get it out of his system ...and even today says there are times he’s haunted by what he had allowed himself to be involved with.

I for one, cannot fathom why anyone thinks belonging to some dipshit lodge is cool or worthy.

Sorry for that...truly. I believe you. It is not an organization to get involved with. They mess with peoples heads in a big way.

The guy I spoke of is a brilliant man and yet he got tangled in its web. People fully underestimate the strength of these groups no matter if they’re really smart or dumb a box of rocks....once they get you in their web you have no idea who you’re really dealing with.

He wouldn’t elaborate much at all just to say how they were paraded around in these lines and something about the lodges control of these kids.

It is beyond me what its purpose is. They drained off all his money, he was selling his household appliances to comply with their demands. They can all burn in hell.

He claimed they would kill him if he didn’t comply. That they would kill me too, didn’t I want to join? I said why the hell would I want to join something that was threatening him and me? They are scum and I hope they all rot.
