The youngest DoodleBob asked me why I was so angry after hearing about the loss (we were busy all afternoon). I said something like "Son....I've been an Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Sixers fan for decades. If there is one thing you must accept as a fan, is you will inevitably have games like today where they simply rip your heart out and make you question why you even bother."

He then started saying we should put Foles back in...and it warmed my bones to hear him talking like a Philadelphia fan...slash and burn armchair coaching!

If he's taking flack from other protesting players then he MUST be doing something right...this is true - but somehow I can't let go of the great White House fiasco of last winter, when half or so of the championship team said they wanted to go to Washington to meet President Trump, then overnight changed their minds, and no one from the team showed up - can't help but think a lot of pressure was put on everyone to stick together and support the brothers - after all, you never can tell when someone might miss a critical block and let a teammate open to a crushing tackle - maybe some of those who didn't go thought they'd have another chance coming up when the Eagles were champs again - ain't happening this year though.....
