One time Letterman sandbagged O’Reilly into coming on his show for a debate. Lettermans climactic argument was the following: I don’t believe you. It doesn’t matter what you say because I don’t believe anything you say.
That clearly outlined the PROBLEM to me at the time, but now it nicely morphs into the SOLUTION. IF they said it, I don’t believe it, that settles it.
