All the beltway Republicans got all over Rush when he said he hoped Obama would fail. From the Bush family on down, they swallowed a false premise, that Obama wanted what was best for the United States.

Rush (and most of us on FreeRepublic), wisely, proclaimed the opposite view: that Obama wanted what would diminish the United States.

When you accept that premise, every policy, regulatory, and rhetorical thing that Obama did made perfect sense.

The beltway Republicans didn't swallow a false premise. They knew what Obama wanted and they were in agreement with him.

They had, and still have, the idea they are our betters and we should be groveling at their feet for scraps of food, clothing, and a cardboard box in which to live, while they lord over us and think of themselves as demigods.

“they” -the Beltway Republicans. NEVER swallowed a false premise.

They knew as well as every other member of the UniParty knows that what is bad for the country is good for DC.

Its really that simple. Jobs and opportunity in DC open up every time regulatory law expands and burocracy grows

In the year 2000 DC was 84rth per capita income in USA. Today its #1. Thats all you need to know.
