GREENVILLE Co., S.C. (WSPA) -- Authorities say multiple arrests were made in an operation targeting child predators and johns soliciting prostitutes in Greenville County.
The four-day sting was called Operation Intercept.
Greenville County Interim Sheriff Johnny Mack Brown told reports that 10 adults solicited sex from what they believed was a 14-year-old. But when the suspects arrived, they were met by officers.
Eleven johns seeking sexual favors with a prostitute discovered the prostitute was actually an undercover officer, Brown said.
Greenville Police Department assisted in the operation.
Police Chief Ken Miller said they prevented crimes for occurring.
These are individuals who would violate your children, Chief Miller said.
Brown urged parents and guardians to monitor children’s online activity.
“If you see something say something,” he said.

Hey, if someone wants to get materials to make a bomb, and they can be lured into one of these setups, I say, GO FOR IT!!
When they do prostitution sting operations in the streets, they have to follow proper procedures to make an arrest. Such as, there has to be discussion of specific sex acts and money to be paid, in order for them to make an arrest. Does that happen in these cases?
I’ve seen the Chris Hansen programs where they arrested guys who thought they were meeting underage girls. But didn’t know if they have protocols such as I noted, where there is clear intent to commit the illegal act .
I don’t consider merely offering the ‘service’ to be entrapment. AFAIAC - these ‘men’ should be burned alive.
I think that they should be tied to a millstone and dropped into the Atlantic.

If those pervs fall for it, it’s on them.
If they weren’t willing to commit crimes then maybe there’s be some basis for it.
But you can’t bait the unwilling.
They could have chosen to ignore it.
They are adults and responsible for their own actions. It’s not like someone held a gun to their heads to force them to respond.
They did it of their own free will. They can take the consequences.
