John Goodman is an exceptional actor. One of the few guys where if he were reading the phone book, it would be engaging.

Michael Caine is in that league as well.

Agreed - 100%. I also put James Spader in that league. He was phenomenal in The Practice/Boston Legal and in The Blacklist.

Of all of them, I think I have the most admiration for Goodman, though. He is an Actor through and through. Never, ever seen him come close to phoning it in. His portrayal of the grief-stricken husband last evening was heart-wrenching for both Mrs. QNQ and I to watch.

John Goodman was in one of the funniest movies I've ever seen - "Raising Arizona" with Nicholas Cage & Holly Hunter. IIRC, it was one of the first Coen Brothers movies - absolutely hilarious with so many classic lines?
