I don’t mean to be cruel here, but you are saying that you did not have enough common sense to realize this? And you did not realize this UNTIL you watched The Conners
Honestly, I don’t mean to single you out for ridicule, but this is EXACTLY where our problems lay. People who cannot “get it” until someone tells them what, where, when and why.
You are welcome to attack me if need be. I just DO NOT UNDERSTAND
I didn’t watch the show.
I didn’t have to watch the show to know that John Goodman is worth watching regardless. He’s been in bad movies, but his part in those movies were watchable.
That I believe John Goodman is a great actor is still an opinion of mine. It really can’t be called fact, even though I can produce a lot of objective evidence to support my appreciation of the man.
I fully confess that there are times when I show a mastery of the obvious, though generally its when I’m fatigued.
If I asked 100 people on the street who the BEST 10 actors are in terms of their ability to act, John Goodman likely doesn’t make that list. Neither does Harry Dean Stanton, though you could make a good case he ought to be there.
For that matter, Michael Caine may not make that list either.
I’m not in attack mode, but I would point out that what is obvious to one may still be obscure to someone else. It’s a matter of priorities and perspective, I suppose.
