The infamous owner of The Bunny Ranch brothel has passed away.
Dennis Hof died on Tuesday at the age of 72 his campaign manager revealed, just a few weeks before he was set to compete in the general election for a seat in the House of Representatives and hours after a campaign rally.
He was at the Love Ranch South in Crystal at the time of his death and the Nye County Sheriff's Office is on the scene and investigating Hof's death.
His chief of staff Zach Hames told DailyMail.com: 'We are all pretty much devastated. Last night he was fine at the campaign rally.
'Ron Jeremy went to wake up Dennis about 11am this morning and found him dead in his bed. He must have died in his sleep.'
Hours prior the two men had been celebrating Hof's birthday with friends including Heidi Fleiss.

I posted the story because of the election angle. I didn’t realize that this guy had made it past the GOP primary in Nevada.
He is on the ballot for Nov. 6. If he wins the County Commissioners will have to appoint a Republican to take his place.
