Despite my service, I’m now in the fight of my life in an unfair and unjust prosecution. My freedom and livelihood are at stake. President Trump and Attorney General Sessions have sought to crack down on leaks to the media from the Administration and Congress. On June 7, I was charged with making false statements about sharing nonpublic information with reporters. Despite President Trump’s comments to the media, I have not been charged with disclosing classified information. I’ve been swept up in the political frenzy surrounding information leaks, and I’m being singled out. I’m facing 15 years of jail time, and am fighting this alone. I’ve worked for the government my entire life, and paying legal defense bills is already crushing me.
