Ya know... I’m reading this again and it’s interesting that Laura Bush went out of her way to say he WASN’T INVITED. That is kind of a nasty thing to say publicly. There are a million other ways to have said it. But she chose that. There’s trouble in the family, no doubt. Maybe they didn’t want him in the pictures. SERIOUSLY, Historic pictures, TWO presidents. With him it would have been Two presidents and one who will go down in history as “LOW ENERGY.”

I saw the clip this was derived from and Laura didn't state it as such. Rather Cokie Roberts was asking about the wedding and was asking/lamenting why it was kept so private [from the press]. Laura responded it was kept to mostly immediate family and that even Jeb, Neil and other Bush siblings were not in attendance. IIHC, the Bush sister Dorothy was there to officiate.

That said, watching the elder Barbara's funeral spoke volumes of the family dynamics.
