New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer suggested in a new interview that she and Ronan Farrow reported on Deborah Ramirez's uncorroborated accusation of misconduct by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh out of eagerness to show a "pattern" of such behavior.
The veteran journalist told Elle her recollections of the Clarence Thomas hearings, the treatment of Anita Hill by the Senate, and the public informed her judgment regarding Kavanaugh.
"So having watched this before, I knew that key issues would be whether the judge had a pattern of similar behavior, since that helps establish who is telling the truth when there is a standoff, and whether there were credible corroborators on either side," she said. "Knowing this is why Ronan Farrow and I were so alert to the significance of other accusers, such as Deborah Ramirez. Her allegation showed that, if true, yes, there was a pattern of misconduct, and likely another side of the judge."

Give them credit... they succeeded. There is an established pattern of publishing uncorroborated accusations.
So you figured the more liars you could line up the better chance of rejecting Kavanaugh. What a plan.

Maybe the pattern of behavior that the Anita Hill incident tells us about is that the Democrats will lie and smear a conservative nominee in an attempt to prevent his Confirmation.
Mayer has been a very bad actor for a long time Even the New York Times couldn’t stand her.
How hard can it be to find a pattern if you are just making stuff up?
That is what a “reporter” is now-a-days, sick.
The fact remains that people with more education have higher incomes. The exceptions you mention are likely cases of higher intelligence, another predictor of income.
That may no longer be true for Black Studies, Womyn Studies and other such crap graduates.
My love is history but making a living with a degree in history means driving a cab.
