The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

Dumb SOBs who are yammering about the ideal world they could build if it weren't for the evil Conservatives who believe in traditional values got out of the way don't even have the brains to realize that laws regarding sanitation, keeping the insane off the streets, and limiting the power of all levels of government, all came into being because of how horrible things were without those laws and regulations.
Instead, they ignore the reasonable regulations and layer on BS as a way to further their political agenda which isn't what regulations are intended to do. From zoning laws to sanitation, they've destroyed the major cities in this country and are now freaking out because outside of those cities the rest of the country doesn't want a thing to do with their abandonment of common sense.
