Cannot find a link, but some fake news ran this morning from CNN, some reporter named "Reid Binion". I saw it on the local Miami station for Fox.
Almost first thing the guy says is that Trump was WRONG when he asserted Kavanaugh's innocence. I wanted to hurl a lamp at the tv.
CNN is playing word games. I hope the place gets shuttered or, better, gets bought out by a conservative...maybe the owners of OANN.

“CNN says Trump “falsely” said allegations against Kavanaugh were unproven”
...which I’m sure is part of the reason he made a point of saying that - to rub it in the faces of the Fake New Media, knowing they would take issue with him saying that - in spite of it being true and accurate.
More Winning.
The Public will be so sick of them by then.
With your foregoing comment in mind, it may be worthwhile to read Numbers 11: 18-23 because the foul tasting meat being offered by the media and the Democrats must make everyone nauseous before the end of this circus.
Viewing the topic from another angle, Cass Sunstein's book Nudge covers the concept which are cited in Wikipedia: "...in behavioral science, political theory and economics which proposes positive reinforcement and indirect suggestions as ways to influence the behavior and decision making of groups or individuals. Nudging contrasts with other ways to achieve compliance, such as education, legislation or enforcement. The concept has influenced British and American politicians."
I think it served at least a couple of purposes. First off, it is a kindness to Justice Kavanaugh and his family to so publicly say this.
Second, it does seem as if he's chumming the waters a bit. He says it, CNN and others react, he has more fuel for his rallies to prod voter turnout. By now, DS-press response is quite predictable. (He must be thinking they're just too easy to play.)

“His mocking of CBFs testimony was a turning point in the case. The corrupt media tried to make it something that it wasnt and gave a tremendous amount of publicity to what was a truthful summary by Trump.”
It wasn’t mocking. It was as good a closing argument by an expert defense attorney as I have ever seen.
I am pretty sure that if there was some real evidence and not some faulty memory of one individual we would have all seen it by now.
There is not evidence to support the allegation, so it would be a true statement that the allegations were “unproven”.
But there no benefit in trying to point this out to the left media. They have a script to follow and there is no ablibbing with the news, must follow the script as written.
If the assumption of innocence was in place (of course it wasn’t for the Demonrats), then it was still in place at the conclusion of the process because no evidence was presented, just the accusation.
CNN & the rest of the RESIST LEFTist MSM need to open their dictionaries to the letter ‘A’ and read the definition of ‘accused’ versus ‘alleged’! Of course they won’t because it does not match their narrative and BIAS! The charge against JUSTICE Kavanaugh is an allegation as there are no facts to back it up and thus only her memory which is unreliable based on what she cannot remember.

It's called, "Monomania".
The democrat party (with their DSM) has regressed so deeply into it, that they are no longer a political party with ideas and direction, but have become a single, exclusive, massive, ever-degrading pit of hatred.

Technically they are right. In the public arena at least no one dared make the case against Professor Ford, but in private any informed person not blinded by partisan politics knew that no only did she fail to prove her accusations but she discredited herself on multiple occasions with false or misleading statements to the Judiciary committee (the fear of flying lie, the 2nd door lie, the hard-to-fathom claim about not knowing Grassley had offered to allow her to testify in private, etc).
On a side note, i strongly suspect that Ford herself (or someone on her behalf) leaked her name to the press & that she always wanted to have her moment in the spotlight. For otherwise she would have taken up Grassley on his offer & therefore had to pretend she was the only adult in America not to have known about said offer. Plus, leaking it the way she did had the added benefit of making her look even more victimized and thus more sympathetic. For it’s plainly obvious that throughout she tried using every psychological trick imaginable (culminating in her Oscar-worthy poor little innocent girl act at the hearing) in order to help bolster a case that would have been laughed out of court.
I was in a restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia the same day as the wedding in England. A television was on, CNN on and they were discussing the wedding, with video and such. I looked around and commented out loud “I Can’t believe that CNN is not bashing President Trump!” I then looked at the other patrons and saw some looks of disgust at my comment. It made me smile.
That was amazing, to me. All three of those skanks called up multiple witnesses ... EVERY "witness" rejected the whole thing.
Ballsey-Ford said she was assaulted, then said she was assaulted by future Judge Kavanaugh; ergo evidence. See how simple it is?
I watched the ceremony last night on CNN. The moment it ended they cut to some furious blond chick who was spitting mad that Trump said he was the victim of a smear. If you handed her a pitchfork, she would have stormed the castle! She was fun to watch.
I am disgusted as well. But it is technically correct. He was not proven Innocent, because the charges were unprovable. That is why we have a statute of limitations (or at least for now). The democrats will attach the asterick by Kavanaugh’s name forever, just as they did Clarence Thomas. But it means nothing except to the fools that they are trying to reel in their party. I am sure that the President was aware that nothing was proven except that the rabid democrats are willing to destroy everything to regain power with their scorched earth policy. The comment about proving innocence was a piece of red meat that he threw at them. He knew that they couldn’t help showing their frothing because they can no longer hide the dogs that they are.
