I was in the Army, stationed in Germany at the time. Of course, we didn’t get news of this until a few days AFTER the fact.

It was like a gut-punch. Still is. Not sure I’d pay money to see the re-enactment of an awful tragedy - especially if Leftist, America-Hating Hollywood is involved in re-writing History. :(
