Yes, it is, for our purposes. When you are trying to reach as broad a group of normies as possible, it is going to drive away a large percentage of them. There are plenty of people who find it offensive and will avoid discussions that are vulgar. Those who embrace vulgarity are not going to be offended by its absence. In fact, they probably won’t even notice it.
This is analogous to the discussions about some of the more horrendous crimes that the DS is guilty of. People are so repelled by it that many do not want to read about it or hear about it. Most do not want to even contemplate it. So we need to tread lightly and give them options to avoid it.
FR is the option to mostly avoid vulgarity. Hopefully, with the horrendous crimes, we don’t post graphic details and when we link to such things, we provide warnings.
