My learning curve on FR:
I noticed after the campaign that the Front Page, on FR, I thought took a hit when the Trump Train thread continued after the election. I kind of drifted off FR and spent time on other pursuits more then, and actually cleaned my sock drawer during that period. Thought it became a real snoozer for news and discussion Fewer were participating, I thought.
I never joined “that other thread”, for only one reason. After Trump won and was situated in the White House, imho, the other thread became home for the food obsessed.
Everyone it seemed spent the first three thread pages saying “Good Morning”, to each other in the AM, posted photos of their breakfast! and then saying “Good Night”, in the PM. I got a view of recipes and cook ware tips. ZZZZzzzz.
And, I got iced for bringing it up, pointing it out, saying that it might be hurting the FR Front Page, for any visitors, who would never find the thread where the great FR posters were “consumed”. Read me, there? “Consumed”.
These weren’t posting articles. They weren’t participating at all, in my opinion, in Front Page threads with comments. You get the idea. I thought it was kind of alarming for the bottom line $$, if we hoped for more sustenance.
No one gave a damn. They were staying and were approved, officially.
THEN Q! I am a conspiracy mocker of the highest order, so I came on board gingerly, clueless, tongue in cheek, but I noticed straight away that there was some crack urban DC/NYC/International background intel going on here, and I dug it.
I soon found Praying Medic to decode all that had been sounding way too truncated for me at the time, and with his help, I learned and I was hooked.
I even appointed myself as the thread’s Food Police, right off, because that food crap slide was soon to emerge, and this was no light weight thread, a thread that to my relief was sure as heck not about food, or, photos of it. Not even between Q drops, when it was slower moving.
My point is that you may be correct about the “fewer comments on other threads”. Some out there may not be into Agatha Christie mode, and they do miss us on the Front Page.
That was me at one time.
But the point is, the Q Thread is everything FR should stand for, and probably has stood for since the beginning.
“They” talk against us as if we’re craven conspiracy nuts, but since when is news, with depth and background, a “belief system”. I don’t get it.
We’re consumers of news, one place or another, but we here have been made privy to a real education, via the Socrates method of educating the listener and that teaching tool is renown, for crying out loud.
Whoever is complaining is simply not interested in research or eschews the work product required to enjoy the depth it forces upon a student interested in current events and back story. These types can’t be interested in anything that goes deeper than TV newsers, every 24 hours spooning it out.
Q is doing the job of educators and the job of our blasted media, who is trying to collapse the country. I don’t get why they want to couch their criticisms in a boogie man and a straw man, called “fear” and “conspiracy”.
They simply don’t know what they’re talking about and cranky because we DO, thanks to Q.
But the point is, the Q Thread is everything FR should stand for, and probably has stood for since the beginning.

Good Points. To me the question of belief in Q is not focused correctly. And also, the demand that Q be “right” is uninformed as to the purpose of Q.
Q in my opinion, as I have said from the beginning, is a PSYOPS. Q has often said that disinformation is necessary. In post after post, Q asks questions that are worth knowing the answers to(this is my favorite thing).
Q is not a journalist to be measured by accuracy or objectiveness-not Q’s purpose. Nor should Q be blamed for inaccurate conclusions that researchers post as set in stone.
The way I see it the Q posts have several functions:
A. Ask questions so that people research and learn what has been a hidden history-note it would not so hidden, if everyone read all the books of insiders-we just don’t do that.
B. Posts that remind the “do it immediately” crowd of the progress that has been made - firings, arrests, sealed indictments (cheer up the troops).
C. Misinformation to force the enemy to do stupid stuff or hide the real plan/next step.
D. Generate enthusiasm and turnout for the Midterms.
I think Q is doing just fine. This thread reminds me of the way FR used to be way back when I started lurking in the early 1990s. It truly helped keep me sane when Clinton was in office.
I don’t like the food fights, and troll wars etc. Usually degenerates very quickly to ill mannered name calling. As far as BKMK, BTT, BFL, I find it quite easy to scroll past that stuff.
However, reading a couple of paragraphs of complaints and expounding/agreeing with those complaints, not so much-harder to skip over, until I’ve wasted some time reading a few lines.
Still I try to avoid BFL, since some people don’t like it, and try to keep focused on news. We all need to hang together, and pray like crazy. For those of us who are Christians, that is our privilege and responsibility.
We are the people who are here to fight the spiritual battles needed to keep Satan’s forces from totally ruling the world for as long as we can, so that more and more people hear the word and are able to be saved.
We are the ones who elected DJT, through God’s power, and in answer to our prayers. Now is not the time to let up. To keep this victory, we must continue to pray like there is no tomorrow and inform everyone we can of the DS crimes and God’s message of grace. Well, anyway that’s how I see it.

Very well stated! I’m one of the biggest conspiracy theory skeptics of All Time but I believe in Q.

I love the sharp wit on the fun threads. I lol’d at your frustration about threads with pages of “good mornings” and “goodnights” because I share it.
I’m amazed at how many women are on this Q quest. Are we more open-minded? Are we more fascinated with mystery?
