Think logically!

A company that makes light bulbs would be insane to make one that never burns out.

Just like razor blades. They have a rust-preventive coating and should last for a LONG time. So the razor-blade companies make sure that water removes the coating in a short time, forcing purchase of new blades.

A dandruff shampoo company that “Cures” dandruff would put itself out of business. Better would be one that causes it to return every 24 hours.

And so on.

Light bulbs, HE Washers, etc.

The HE washers are a special pet peeve of mine. Engineered to use very little water by people who don't realize that all of us don't live in water restricted areas, and some of us have husbands (Note to angry feminists -- YES _ I DO THE WASH HERE) who work outside, aren't soyboys and actually get dirty doing so.
