[...] then write responses aimed at showing their ability to think critically and cite evidence to support their answers [...]

They lack language skills and the (interwoven) critical thinking skills.

An answer such as "Evidence? What evidence! I feel that she is credible because she is a woman and women deserve our compassion and to be believed..." just doesn't cut the mustard.

I bet they know more genders than letters.

It’s also pretty tough to develop critical thinking when you’re raised to believe the nonsense logic of things like the dangers of second hand smoke and global warming.

I think it’s practically impossible to write well if you don’t read. A lot. The weird social media and texting method of writing is about all these kids see.

They never will write well.

showing their ability to think critically and cite evidence to support their answers

This is supposedly the big goal in education.

The problem is, this is exactly what leftists DON'T want kids to be able to do. They grow up without these skills. This can be see in the whole Kavanaugh process.

You show them one fact, the ONLY fact you need to decide the Ford case: "Every single one of her witnesses refutes her story — has no memory of the gathering in question or says it didn’t happen, and this includes a lifelong friend." - John Nolte

Game over. None of the rest is important. Even stupid people should be able to understand this. Our education system talks "critical thinking" but it doesn't. They teach "emotional thinking," which is no thinking at all. "Oh, she looks and sounds so credible." So does every skilled actor playing a role.

Feeling-based, rather than fact-based thinking. It allows them to continue to believe lies even when they are shown the facts. "Hands up, don't shoot." "I can't breathe." "Kavanaugh is a rapist." "Trump is a (fill in some lie)."

The students are not taught to think critically or to write or speak English. So the Exams are obviously racist and must be altered to get the desired results.

The Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto — Karl Marx, 1848

Number Ten:

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. etc.

comment at site: “People are being taxed to support what we call ‘public’ schools, which train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based “Education” .”
